Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Annie Bot ("Annie"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using Annie immediately.

These Terms apply to all users, including server administrators who add Annie to their servers.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Annie, in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service. By using Annie, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Permitted Use

You may use Annie for its intended features including economy, music, moderation, social, and gaming commands. You agree to use Annie only in ways that comply with:

• These Terms of Service
• Discord's Terms of Service (discord.com/terms)
• Discord's Community Guidelines (discord.com/guidelines)
• All applicable laws and regulations

4. Prohibited Use

You must not use Annie to:

• Spam, harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Use the /dm command to send unsolicited, harmful, or harassing messages to others
• Exploit bugs, glitches, or unintended behaviors for personal gain
• Attempt to manipulate economy systems through automation, macros, or bots
• Circumvent bans, blacklists, or other restrictions placed on your account
• Use Annie for any illegal activity
• Impersonate other users, bots, or administrators

Violation of these prohibitions may result in a permanent ban from Annie without warning.

5. Economy & Virtual Items

All in-bot currency (aura), items, and virtual assets have no real-world monetary value. We do not offer refunds for virtual items and reserve the right to adjust, reset, or remove any economy data at any time for balancing, abuse prevention, or operational reasons.

6. The /dm Command

Annie's /dm feature allows authorized server staff members (those with the Manage Messages permission) to send official messages to Discord users through the bot on behalf of their server. This command is restricted to staff and is not available to regular users. By using this feature, authorized staff acknowledge:

• All DMs sent through Annie are logged and may be reviewed by the bot operator
• The /dm command must only be used for legitimate server-related communication
• You will not use /dm to harass, threaten, or send spam to other users
• Misuse of the /dm command will result in an immediate and permanent blacklist
• We are not responsible for the content of messages sent by staff through this feature
• Server administrators are responsible for ensuring their staff use this feature appropriately

7. Moderation Features

Server administrators who use Annie's moderation tools (warn, ban, mute, kick, etc.) are responsible for using these features appropriately and in accordance with their server rules and applicable law. Annie is a tool — the responsibility for moderation decisions rests with the server administrators.

8. User-Generated Content

You retain all rights to content you create or submit through Annie. By using Annie's features, you grant us a license to process, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you share complies with applicable law and does not infringe on third-party rights. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality of Annie (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, graphics, and the overall selection and arrangement thereof) are owned by Annie, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use Annie for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproduction, modification, distribution, or any commercial use is prohibited without written permission.

10. Premium Features

Annie may offer premium features. Premium access is personal and non-transferable. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove premium features at any time. Payments, if any, are final and non-refundable unless required by law.

11. Availability & Uptime

We strive to keep Annie available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Annie may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to ban any user or remove Annie from any server at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason we deem appropriate.

You may stop using Annie at any time. Server administrators may remove Annie from their server at any time.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

Annie is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that Annie will be error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Annie, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of virtual items, or service interruptions.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Annie and its operators, developers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from your use of Annie, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to your jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration or small claims court, waiving the right to jury trial and class action.

For disputes involving EU residents, these Terms comply with the laws of the relevant EU member state, and you have the right to pursue claims in your local courts.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

18. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Annie after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. Significant changes will be announced in our support server.
